gamecock design
May 2009
As a project in a MayMester illustration class, we were asked to create a "new" Gamecock using simple shapes either from basic letter forms or cut paper. After a few drafts, what began as letters and numbers became this little guy. He even ended up on shirts as our little Gamecock Design mascott.

the initiative
The Initiative for South Carolina’s Future, funded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York, served as a statewide clearinghouse for creative, innovative, and sustainable solutions for individuals and organizations seeking to meet changing conditions in their communities. With hands in a "picture this" formation, fingers pointing upward and the state fitted between them, this logo fit the organization's vision.

New Heights Church
I like taking the obvious and making it work. New Heights is all about reaching upward. I simply reflected that through the shape of the roof and the top of the "h" — then brought in cool blues to accompany the mark that are strong, welcoming, and remniscent of clear skies.
Studio 323
Simple, bold, and clean, this was adopted as the logo for our senior design studio, named for the room number, 323.
Terence Young Music
This was a little project I picked up while I was in school for a local guitarist and head of "The Finess Band."
